BioMD Consulting

For digital health and AI vendors

Your product is ready. Their organization is not.

A signed pilot in a Canadian hospital or care operator is where most health technology stalls: the tool works, the champions love it, and three months later adoption is flat. We work the buyer side of your implementation so the pilot becomes a reference.

Three ways vendors use us

  • Readiness assessment on the buyer. Run the AI Ready Assessment on your pilot site before go-live, paid by you or by them. You find out which of their gaps will be blamed on your product, and you get a sequenced plan that protects the timeline. The assessment
  • Adoption engineering inside the pilot. Stakeholder mapping, staff activation, workflow fit, on-site focus groups with the people who will use it, and the change plan that comes out of that. This is what we did for Team CarePal, below.
  • Market entry and stakeholder intelligence. Who decides, who blocks, who buys, and what each of them needs to hear, across operators, health authorities, and funders in a province. Then the introductions.

We also work as a specialist partner to larger implementation firms that need Canadian clinical and operational credibility on a delivery team.

Client engagement. Team CarePal, Edmonton, 2026

Adoption is an organizational problem.

Team CarePal is a digital communication platform for senior living and continuing care. The platform was technically sound; adoption was not following. BioMD was engaged to identify why and build a pathway to sustained adoption, starting from a 20-question, five-domain survey across residents, family caregivers, and staff.

The adoption problem was not a product problem. Workflow pressure, unclear communication roles, and inconsistent onboarding blocked engagement before the platform could demonstrate value. Every family-engagement metric tracked staff platform activity, so staff activation was the only scalable lever. On-site focus groups with residents, families, and end users fed directly into co-design that shaped the product roadmap.

Working with Doran changed how we think about implementation. He didn't just hand us a report: he sat with our staff, listened to families, and built a change plan that fit how care teams actually work. We're a better product because of it.

October 5 to 9, 2026

Doran is running a workshop for founders on getting a health AI product adopted inside Canadian health organizations: who actually decides, why pilots stall, and what to put in the contract so the buyer's readiness is not your problem alone.
